Worship.

We are commanded to worship but so often we get this wrong. I think if we polled everyone they would say, “of course worship isn’t just music” but so often that is the way we live. My father in law says, “Worship is extravagant love with extreme obedience”.

Worship is the posture of our heart. When we posture our hearts to walk in obedience out of the love we have for Christ and the love He displays so selflessly for us, everything we do can be worship.

As we work in the home or out of the home the posture of our heart determines if we are walking in worship.

As we raise our families the posture of our heart determines if we are walking in worship.

As we interact with our friends the posture of our heart determines if we are walking in worship.

As we stand in the pews of church and sing and listen to the sermon the posture of our heart determines if we are walking in worship.

As we go throughout our lives no matter what we do the posture of our heart determines if we are walking in worship. If we want to be worshippers we have to bend our knees and our heart in adoration of the One we worship.

“You do not delight in sacrifice, or I would bring it; you do not take pleasure in burnt offerings. My sacrifice, O God, is a broken spirit; a broken and contrite heart you, God, will not despise.”

‭‭Psalms‬ ‭51‬:‭16‬-‭17‬ ‭
