Colossians 1:13–14, “13 He has rescued us from the domain of darkness and transferred us into the kingdom of the Son he loves. 14 In him we have redemption, the forgiveness of sins.”

To be delivered from Darkness, transferred to a Kingdom that belongs to Jesus, redeemed from a dark kingdom, and forgiven of one’s sins is possible because of Jesus’ costly death. This verse would not be possible if it did not say, “In Him we have.” This assumes that you truly acknowledge the existence of a kingdom of darkness. In simpler terms, you believe that where there is good, there is also evil. Denying the existence of one or the other contradicts our beliefs. If true (the reality of good and evil) — which the Bible teaches is true — then Jesus is of infinite value and worthy of worship, especially of those who have been redeemed.
